On September 12, 1940, four teenagers stumbled upon a major discovery. The teenagers discovered a hole that was overgrown. They went inside, and found the historic cave paintings at Lascaux. It was thought that these paintings had been done originally more than 17,000 years ago. The paintings told stories about the prehistoric people of that time. There were painting of animals, the hunt, and human hand prints. The 7th grade Creative arts class made their own Cave Painting.
